Hezbollah on Saturday asserted a rocket strike on northern Israel, the first after heavy Israeli strikes pummelled Beirut's southerly residential areas overnight. "Protecting Lebanon as well as its people, and responding to the savage" Israeli attacks "on metropolitan areas as well as villages and also private citizens", Hezbollah fighters targeted kibbutz Kabri in northerly Israel "along with a barrage of Fadi-1 rockets", the group said in a declaration. lg/jsa.
